Coming from the heart of the Delaware Valley, Eric Reavey grew up on good music; from Glassjaw and Thrice, to John Mayer and Damien Rice. Bringing this passion for good music in all its forms, Reavey brings a distinct style, mixing lush, high-detail arrangements with a powerful and intense voice.
Playing for a wide range of bands in his youth, Reavey got his first stint as a serious artist writing and singing for the pop-punk outfit Big Big Plans, penning an EP and full length that helped land the band in Purevolume.com's top 10 in June 2011. Following the band's dissolution in 2012, Reavey spent the next three years honing his craft and developing a wealth of new material, of which 'Sage Sessions' marks the very first sampling.
Packed into a taut 5-song frame, Sage Sessions covers a great deal of stylistic ground, and leaves no room for fluff. From the rich arrangements of 'Not Here' and 'Tie You Down' to the all-acoustic, frenetic sound of 'Distance,' to the pop sensibility of 'More Than Dying' and 'Reminder,' the Sage Sessions EP makes good on its promise to be among the more memorable 18-minute spans of your year.
Performing for the Turk's Head Music Festival in West Chester was a blast; thanks to everyone who came out and braved the heat! Also, big shoutout to 93.7 WSTW's Hometown Heroes for featuring 'Reminder' on last night's broadcast. We've got one more show coming up in PA for the summer this Saturday July 25th at 7:30pm at The Legendary Dobbs, and then it's off to tour in the South with The GoAround. More details about that coming soon!
